MB Petroleum Services is a multinational corporation providing cost-effective quality drilling and integrated well services worldwide, with the assurance of reliability and added value to all stakeholders. A subsidiary of MB Holding Company, MB Petroleum is one of the largest and most successful quality oilfield services provider in the Middle East. The company received ISO 9001: 2000 certification in December 1997.

First established in 1982 as MB Trading, within a few years MB Petroleum grew to become one of the largest oilfield services companies in the Middle East. The MB Petroleum group has a presence in more than twelve countries, with offices in Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. The main subsidiaries are MB Petroleum Services LLC (Oman), MB Deutschland GMBH (Germany), MB Asia Pacific, MB Drilling Company Ltd (Hungary) and MB Drilling Overseas. The group currently provides drilling and integrated well services in Australia, Austria, China, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Libya, Malaysia, New Zealand, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates and Yemen besides Oman. 

MB Petroleum operates to high standards of health, safety and environmental protection, and has located its assets strategically to be able to mobilize drilling rigs, equipment and provide other services to any part of the world. MB Petroleum's competence, reliability and high standards of work performance have resulted in long-term renewal of most of its contracts.

Since its inception in the early 80s, MB Petroleum has drilled, serviced, tested and completed more than 3,000 Oil, Gas and Geothermal wells and has a proven track record of over 25,000 work-over well entries for some of the most demanding clients. These include Saudi Aramco, Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), MEDCO (Oman), Qatar Petroleum, Shell, SASOL (Mozambique), ONGC(India), Veba, Daleel, Nexen, Occidental, Total, Wintershall, Gas du France, AI-Furat Petroleum (Syria), Chevron, Phillips Petroleum, Contact Energy de France, Exxon and a number of other international clients. MB Petroleum has shown the ability to retain existing clients through repeated contracts and constantly adding to the clientele.

MB Petroleum employs more than 5,600 people 80% of whom are nationals of the host countries where the subsidiary companies operate. The group believes in social partnership with the communities where it operates by developing the nationals wherever possible, and in providing opportunities for nationals by subcontracting most of its work to local service companies.

MB Petroleum has developed a good understanding of the different needs of the various operators in the oil and gas industry, and has built excellent working relationships with key industrial players, including governments, bankers and other global oil and gas related companies.

In addition to its own diverse skills, the group also draws on the skills of Industrial specialists, especially in managing field operations, capital financing, human resources development, information technology and environmental protection.

MB Petroleum truly provides a "One-Stop-Shop" for oilfield services and only a few companies in the Middle East can match the resources and range of expertise that MB Petroleum is able to offer. 

The core business of MB Petroleum is drilling and workover services, well testing, drilling fluids, mud logging, wireline services, coiled tubing, nitrogen & pumping services, and completion services. By being a multi-services provider, MB Petroleum is uniquely placed along the oilfield services value chain through its in-house capabilities. Depending on the client's requirements, MB Petroleum can provide services on a stand-alone basis or as an integrated package of services, taking full responsibility of the field throughout its life cycle.

To ensure the integrity of the equipment, support oilfield operations and maintain the quality of assets, MB Petroleum Services has invested in establishing large workshops, attached to its operations in Oman, Syria, Yemen, Germany and Hungary. Full logistics and operational support are provided in all the workshops.
