Quality

The success of any business enterprise depends on the quality of its people, equipment and process.

Process is an important element of the people-equipment-process triangle, which dictates continuous optimization with respect to performance. It is therefore very important to include monitoring systems in the process to achieve consistent deliverables of good quality. Understanding the need for consistency in quality, MB Petroleum became one of the first certified companies in Oman for the ISO 9001:2000. 

MB Petroleum strives to deliver products with consistent quality as per internationally recognized standards through a documented and controlled process. All procedures are well documented with strict change control mechanism in place as per ISO requirements.

Quality Systems
MB Petroleum has introduced a Quality Management System in conformance with ISO 9001:2000 guidelines and has obtained DNV (Det Norske Veritas) Certification. This provides clients with the assurance that services and products are being supplied under internationally recognized standards. Constant internal audits and regular six-monthly periodic audits by DNV are proof of the long-term commitment by MB Petroleum to Quality and the principles and benefits of Quality Management.

ISO 9001:2000
ISO 9001:2000 is seen by MB Petroleum as a major driving force in providing employees with a set of principles by which the quality of a complex service range may further be enhanced.

The company's workforce voluntarily cooperated in the compilation of the procedures in their own specialized disciplines and fully committed to further improvement in the working environment that they have helped create.

Recognizing that successfully obtaining ISO 9001:2000 Certification is only a first step in the Quality process, MB Petroleum has embarked on a dedicated Continuous Improvement Program. This not only maintains provision of products and services to a recognized standard, but also stimulates MB Petroleum into striving to exceed clients' expectations.

Competence Assessment and Assurance Systems
MB Petroleum continuously strives to improve the quality of its manpower through Competence Assessment and Assurance systems, and by providing skill enhancement training. MB Petroleum has implemented its Competence Assessment and Assurance systems using Edexcel International as the Award Body.
