MB Petroleum Services LLC launches Corporate Social Responsibility programme with Al Imam Al Muhanna Bin Sultan School

MB Petroleum Services (MBPS), the flagship brand of the MB Group of Companies, has launched a Corporate Social Responsibility programme with the Al Imam Al Muhanna Bin Sultan School in Baushar, Muscat. The company has initiated a Drive Safe awareness campaign targeted primarily at the students and also the public at large. Messages are fixed on school buses in both English & Arabic operating under the schools supervision. Additionally, two drive safe message boards have also been installed within the school premises at the entrance/exit gate. In its continuous efforts directed towards the development of the areas within which they operate, MBPS has also teamed up with the School by sponsoring lunch coupons for students under the social welfare scheme.

Salim Al Harthy, CEO, MBPS, said, MBPS is a true home grown brand. This initiative aimed at the countrys youth, reflects the companys philosophy of being committed to the nations future generation. Through this programme, MBPS hopes to ingrain within the students key values of being responsible and considerate towards others on the roads. We would like to thank Sheikh Ibrahim bin Yahya al Rawahi, the Wali of Baushar, the Ministry of Education, the Principal as well as the management of the school for all the support rendered in making this initiative successful. We would also like to acknowledge the cooperation extended by Muscat Municipality and the Royal Oman Police in providing with all the necessary permissions.

The school management lauded the efforts made by MBPS in the scope of road safety and more importantly in educating students in this area. The management strongly felt that this initiative is vital as almost 60% of the population in the country comprises the youth. They called upon other corporates to follow the benchmark set by MBPS in helping serve the nation.
